Fixed leash lengths allow the dog to orient itself within a radius, which it internalizes (stores).
The UM'S ECK Dog Leash, with its integrated handle, is approximately 1.5 m long. Distance is consciously chosen and remains constant. This provides the dog with clarity about how much radius is available to it.

Material & Workmanship
The UM'S ECK Dog Leash is designed and manufactured in Germany. It is available either in Original BioThane® or in our POP-Band, which is specially produced for our products.
Our BioThane® (USA) is extra thin, very flexible, weather-resistant, and ideal for rain, mud, and everyday use. Dirt and moisture can be easily wiped off with water. The material withstands up to 1000 kg of centrifugal force.
The POP-Band has a woven look but is firmer and thicker than conventional nylon leashes. It remains dimensionally stable even under stress and rests calmly in the hand.
The workmanship includes chrome-plated leash carabiners (to prevent discoloration and allergic reactions) and stainless steel screws, which are additionally glued.
The stainless steel screws ensure a particularly high-quality, calm look.
Width Recommendation
- 16 mm – for dogs up to approx. 12 kg
- 19 mm – for calm dogs up to approx. 25 kg
- 25 mm – recommended for dogs weighing at least 23 kg and for high pulling forces
Selection Tip
If you suffer from arthritis or reduced hand strength, we recommend the 16 mm wide BioThane® leash or alternatively the woven POP-Band, as these variants are particularly comfortable to hold.
The 25 mm wide BioThane® leash is particularly suitable for large hands.
