Walking two dogs is particularly comfortable with our Techtelmechtel leash for two. Equipped with one handle that moves along the leash via a stainless steel ring, both leash sides can rotate.
The handle allows the attached leash to rotate and is ideal for walking multiple dogs. The snap hook used rotates with it, preventing dog leashes from getting tangled. The woven material makes the handle lightweight and it can be easily stored in your bag. Slip resistance is guaranteed even in wet conditions.
Why a double leash makes everyday life clearer
When walking two dogs, leashes often get twisted or tangled in everyday life.
The TECHTELMECHTEL dog leash reduces this problem with a rotating snap hook in the handle, into which the leashes are hooked. This allows the leashes to move independently without constantly twisting.
The overall length can be flexibly distributed between both dogs using the stainless steel slider.
With a 50/50 split, the usable leash length – including the handle – is approx. 1.15 m per dog.
Note: Measure if the length is sufficient for your dogs. Alternatively, we recommend a combination of two CHILL dog leashes (1.80 m each and adjustable) and our HABDICH safety handle.
Handle & Guidance
The detachable handle is available in 16 mm or 19 mm width depending on the version and is made of woven POP-Band.
The material is soft in the hand, yet non-slip and retains these properties even in wet weather conditions.
In the blue version, the handle is 25 mm wide.
Use with the CHILL waist belt:
Place the handle in the D-ring of the waist belt and guide the snap hook through the handle. Then attach the TECHTELMECHTEL leash to the snap hook of the handle.
This way, the leash can rotate, allowing for hands-free, relaxed guiding.
The same principle can also be applied to our FERNWEH double long line.
Material & Workmanship
The TECHTELMECHTEL dog leash is designed and manufactured in Germany. It is available in either Original BioThane® or our POP-Band, which is specially made for our products.
Our BioThane® (USA) is extra thin, very flexible, weatherproof, and ideal for rain, mud, and everyday use. Dirt and moisture can be easily wiped off with water. The material withstands up to 1000 kg centrifugal force.
The POP-Band has a woven look but is firmer and thicker than conventional nylon leashes. It remains dimensionally stable even under stress and lies comfortably in the hand.
The workmanship includes chrome-plated leash snap hooks (to prevent discoloration and allergic reactions), a stainless steel slider, and stainless steel screws, which are additionally glued.
The stainless steel screws provide a particularly high-quality, understated look.
Width Recommendation
- 16 mm – for dogs up to approx. 12 kg
- 19 mm – for calm dogs up to approx. 25 kg

For very small dogs up to 5 kg: POP-Band is lighter than BioThane®
Instructions for Use
- Attach the single-layer side to the dog that walks further ahead - this prevents the leash length from being reduced for the second dog even when pulling
- Suitable for everyday use and training
- Please check for wear and tear every 6 months
- Regular inspection recommended for dogs that pull strongly
- If there are bite marks, do not continue to use and replace with a new leash
