At Petzooly, we take your privacy extremely seriously. This statement explains simply and transparently what data we collect, why we need it, and how we protect it. Our shop runs on Shopify – one of the most secure e-commerce platforms in the world.

2. What data do we collect and why?

  • When you visit our shop (automatically): IP address, browser type, pages visited, duration of visit (usage data). Purpose: to optimize the shop, ensure security, and prevent fraud.
  • For orders/accounts: Name, address, email, telephone, payment details. Purpose: Order processing, shipping, customer service, legal obligations (e.g., invoicing).
  • When you subscribe to our newsletter: Email address (only with your consent). Purpose: To send you cool pet tips and exclusive offers.
  • Cookies & Tracking: We use necessary cookies (for shopping cart & checkout) as well as optional marketing/analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel) – only with your consent via our banner.

4. Who receives your data? Only selected, trusted partners: Shopify (platform & payments), shipping providers (DHL, DPD, etc.), payment providers (PayPal, Klarna, Stripe), and analytics/advertising tools (only with your consent). We never sell your data. International transfers (e.g., to Shopify in Canada/USA) are only carried out with EU Standard Contractual Clauses and additional safeguards.

5. How long do we store your data?

  • Order data: 10 years (for tax purposes)
  • Account details: Until you delete your account
  • Newsletter: Until you unsubscribe
  • Cookies: Max. 12 months (depending on type)

6. Your rights – you have full control!

  • Information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, data portability
  • You can withdraw your consent at any time (e.g., via the newsletter unsubscribe link or cookie settings).

7. Security We use state-of-the-art encryption (SSL) and Shopify security standards. Absolute security doesn't exist on the internet, but we do everything we can to protect your data.

8. Children Our shop is not intended for children under 16 years of age. If we accidentally collect data from minors, we will delete it immediately.
