KENJI KOI Rearing Feed Set
In the first few days, the nutrition of koi carp is most important; the first few days determine the growth of the fish for their entire lives. Therefore, the first few days are the most crucial for young koi.
Feed set consisting of 3 KENJI KOI feed varieties
With our KENJI KOI BabyFood 1-3 feed set, you ensure the growth of your fish with a high-quality, protein-rich rearing feed. We use this feed for rearing our Japanese koi offspring with excellent results.
Our feeding recommendation for optimal rearing:
Days 1-3 – Rearing with Artemia larvae, which can be bred yourself, or other small living organisms such as daphnia and mosquito larvae.
From day 3: Start with our KENJI KOI Baby Food 1 250g and feed this together with the natural food from the first few days. Feed several times a day. As soon as the small koi can eat the larger pellet size of 0.8mm, switch to our KENJI KOI Baby Food 2.
Finally, feed KENJI KOI Baby Food 3 from the rearing feed with a pellet size of up to 2.2mm. All feed varieties are included in our KENJI KOI BabyFood 1-3 Feed Set.
Once the young koi have reached a size of over 10cm, and at the latest from 12cm, you can start with a regular 3mm koi feed. A growth feed such as KENJI KOI Growth+ is recommended here, or KENJI KOI Color & Growth which supports both growth and color directly.
