Premium Carrot Sticks are a high-quality plant-based supplementary food for dwarf shrimp, crayfish and other invertebrates in freshwater aquariums. The sticks are carrot-based and ideal for targeted supplementation of a varied and natural diet.

Carrots are very well accepted by shrimp and provide natural plant-based ingredients. Due to their solid stick form, the food quickly sinks to the bottom and remains dimensionally stable for a long time. This allows shrimp to graze on the surface for an extended period without the food immediately dissolving or unnecessarily polluting the aquarium water.

With increasing time in the water, a natural biofilm forms on the surface, which is intensively utilized by both adult shrimp and juveniles. Snails and smaller crayfish also readily accept the Carrot Sticks and benefit from their slow decomposition.

Premium Carrot Sticks are suitable for all common dwarf shrimp species such as Neocaridina and Caridina and can also be used in breeding and rearing tanks.

Plant-based carrot supplementary food for shrimp

Carrots are rich in natural plant compounds and naturally contain beta-carotene. The Premium Carrot Sticks provide a well-tolerated variety in the feeding plan and are reliably accepted by shrimp.

Feeding recommendation

Feed one stick per aquarium, depending on the stocking density. The amount should be chosen so that most of the food is consumed within two to three hours. The sticks can also remain in the aquarium longer if necessary and continue to serve as a grazing surface.

The carrot sticks are ideal as a supplementary food and should be offered in alternation with other plant-based food types.

Feeding instructions

Store dry, cool, and protected from light. Feed only as much as the animals can consume. Suitable for freshwater aquariums with shrimp, crayfish, and snails.
