Yourdog Leonberger cares for the holistic health and well-being of your dog. All Yourdog products contain delicious buffalo and chicken meat. We combine this with carefully selected vegetables, fruits, and herbs to create the perfect food for your Leonberger.
Why Yourdog Leonberger
Rich in buffalo and poultry. Specially made for the Leonberger. Contains spirulina, glucosamine, and tomato. Promotes a healthy, shiny coat. Maintains a healthy gut flora. Free from artificial flavors, colors, and fragrances. Also suitable for the sensitive Leonberger. Our ingredients
To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat are dried for each 12 kg bag to improve its processing in our kibble. With the right balance of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog uses meat from free-range, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and vibrant color, and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, making it very healthy.
poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry support healthy muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide your dog with additional valuable nutrients, we've added super-healthy vegetables to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious but also have other health benefits. The fiber in vegetables is good for the gut and can, among other things, promote digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, providing your dog with all the essential natural antioxidants. Fruit can be beneficial for your dog's immune system, for example, but it can also help keep their breath fresh and maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote your dog's overall health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, algae, etc., has a tradition spanning thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its beneficial properties. Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are emphasized. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated through the use of herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
Leonberger-specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Leonberger. We have also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Leonberger belongs. Based on these studies, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients were selected that have an optimal effect on the health and well-being of the Leonberger.
Spirulina
Spirulina is a dietary supplement with exceptionally high nutritional value, made from blue-green algae found in tropical and subtropical regions. It belongs to the microalgae family. Did you know that spirulina can be cultivated in space and contains 60-70% protein?
It is rich in vitamins, including B12, minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and potassium, as well as all essential amino acids. Spirulina can contribute to the overall health and well-being of dogs. Furthermore, it can help support the immune system and promote healthy skin and a shiny coat. The algae also has a detoxifying effect and aids digestion.
Glucosamine
Glucosamine is a naturally occurring substance found in joints, cartilage, synovial fluid, and tendons. Glucosamine stimulates cartilage production and keeps joints flexible.
Glucosamine is one of the most frequently used supplements for dogs with osteoarthritis and/or joint problems. This is not only the case for older or overweight dogs, but increasingly also for younger, very active dogs, for example, due to a hereditary predisposition to joint problems. For these and other reasons, glucosamine is added to our dog food.
tomato
The tomato belongs to the nightshade family and originates from the tomato plant, which is native to Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.
At Yourdog, we use the tomato in a culinary sense; here we assume that the tomato is a vegetable.
Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and high in soluble fiber, which promotes digestion. They also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato, the more lycopene it contains. Lycopene not only gives tomatoes their red color but is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene may, among other things, protect against cancer and help with cardiovascular disease. Furthermore, tomatoes contain plenty of vitamin C, as well as vitamins A and B complex, which can contribute to healthy skin and a strengthened immune system.
Tomatoes are added to our dog food because they can positively contribute to the prevention of breed-specific ailments related to digestion, skin, eyesight, and cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, they can have a generally cleansing effect on the body.

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of dog food, we recommend the following steps. First, feed your dog a mixture of 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old food. Allow your dog two days to adjust. Then, feed a mixture of 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old food. It is important to allow your dog another two or three days to gradually readjust. Next, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old food. Your dog is now almost completely accustomed to Yourdog. Continue this process for two days. After that, you can switch to 100% Yourdog. Please note that Yourdog food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and flavor. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container or barrel in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to add the food to the tub individually, but rather to add the entire bag, which should be sealed as tightly as possible.
