Yourdog Otterhound cares for the holistic health and well-being of your dog. All Yourdog products contain delicious buffalo and chicken meat. We combine this with carefully selected vegetables, fruits, and herbs to create the perfect food for your Otterhound.

Why Yourdog Otterhound

Rich in buffalo and poultry. Specially formulated for Otterhounds. Contains fennel, tomato, and cranberries. Promotes a healthy, glossy coat. Maintains a healthy gut flora. Free from artificial colors, flavors, and fragrances. Suitable even for sensitive Otterhounds.

Our ingredients

To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat are dried for each 12 kg bag to improve its processing in our dry food. With the right balance of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog uses meat from free-range, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and vibrant color, and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, making it very healthy.

poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together give the food a delicious taste and aroma. The highly digestible proteins in poultry support healthy muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide your dog with additional valuable nutrients, we've added super-healthy vegetables to our food. Vegetables, for example, are not only nutritious but also have other health benefits. The fiber in vegetables is good for the gut and can, among other things, promote digestion.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, providing your dog with all the essential natural antioxidants. Fruit can be beneficial for your dog's immune system, for example, but it can also help keep their breath fresh and maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote your dog's overall health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, algae, etc., has a tradition spanning thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its beneficial properties. Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are emphasized. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated through the use of herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Otterhound-specific vegetables, herbs and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Otterhound. We have also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Otterhound belongs. Based on these studies, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients were selected that optimally support the health and well-being of the Otterhound.

fennel

Fennel is a plant from the Apiaceae family and is recognizable by its aniseed flavor. The thread-like stems of the leaves are often used as an herb, and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.

Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains many vitamins A and C, as well as the minerals iron and potassium.

Fennel can be added to dog food because it promotes digestion and can prevent bloating and flatulence. It can contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and have a positive effect on joint problems. Fennel is also said to freshen breath.

tomato

The tomato belongs to the nightshade family and is descended from the tomato plant, which originally comes from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.

At Yourdog, we use the tomato in a culinary sense; here we assume that the tomato is a vegetable.

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and high in soluble fiber, which promotes digestion. They also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato, the more lycopene it contains. Lycopene not only gives tomatoes their red color but is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene may, among other things, protect against cancer and help with cardiovascular disease. Furthermore, tomatoes contain plenty of vitamin C, as well as vitamins A and B complex, which can contribute to healthy skin and a strengthened immune system.

Tomatoes are added to our dog food because they can positively contribute to the prevention of breed-specific ailments related to digestion, skin, eyesight, and cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, they can have a generally cleansing effect on the body.

Cranberry

The cranberry is a plant belonging to the heath family. In the Netherlands, it is found primarily on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the country. Originally from North America, it is believed to have arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.

Cranberries contain a unique blend of nutrients that can give a powerful boost to a dog's health. Among other things, the berries are rich in minerals like potassium, which ensures healthy fluid balance in the body. These berries are also rich in vitamins A, B, and C, as well as antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes urine more acidic, thus creating a less hospitable environment in the bladder for bacteria. Adding cranberries can also have a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. The healthy fiber in cranberries has a positive effect on digestion and promotes a longer feeling of fullness.

Cranberry is added to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to the prevention of breed-specific ailments, including those related to digestion, skin, joints, bones and nerve function.
